#PhotoWalker overview
PhotoWalker is the general name
of the system
to link photos so as to reproduce virtual walk-through effects.
The system consists of:
- PhotoWalker:
Sets links between photos
and checks the edited linkage,
consisting of PhotoLinker and PhotoBrowser.
- PhotoBrowser: Browses the photos edited with PhotoWalker.
This is an independent software.
PhotoWalker is the software to create spatial link data,
including some functions of PhotoBrowser
to check edited data.
PhotoBrowser is the software
to replay and browse data created with PhotoWalker.
In other words,
PhotoWalker is home page building software
and PhotoBrowser is a Web browser.
The link data created with PhotoWalker
is saved in either of
hpp file or hpml files.
An hpp file contains all of created link data,
and an hpml file contains link data per photo.
Both hpp and hpml files are text files
written in the XML format.
When the data of a photo is displayed,
PhotoWalker/PhotoBrowser refers the photo file
together with the corresponding hpp or hpml file.

Normal web data is described
in the html ("Hyper Text Markup Language") format
to represent a document with link data.
PhotoWalker data is described
in the hpml file ("Hyper Photo Markup Language") format
to represent a photo with link data.
An hpp file collects up multiple hpml files.
