WWW page of K. Masuda at SFC, Keio Univ.
The main purpose of this site was to provide class materials to
students in Keio University.
The class was taught in Japanese, so most of my web contents
are also in Japanese. (I mainly use EUC-JP code for Japanese
characters.)
Since early 2009, I also have a personal web site at
http://macroscope.world.coocan.jp/ .
Educational materials
The earth system, in particular,
"global energy and water cycles in the atmosphere and the hydrosphere",
or, "the physical climate system"
- I wrote two sections
"Atmosphere and ocean of the present earth" and
"Factors of climatic variation"
of a book of "Quaternary Science" in Japanese which was published in 2003.
("Quanternary" is a geological term meaning the time period
from approximately 2 million years ago to the present.)
My unofficial English version of my part of the book is
[here]
.
- Since 2007, I teach a class called
"Kankyô Kisyôgaku"
(roughly translated as "Atmospheric Environment",
but another class with a similar title exists.)
for undergraduate students of agricultural sciences
at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
Its course materials (in Japanese) are at my presonal site
(
http://macroscope.world.coocan.jp/ja/edu/clim_sys/).
- From 2001 to 2006, I taught part of a class of
"Earth System Science" at Shonan Fujisawa Campus of Keio University.
Its course materials were here,
but most of them have been moved to my personal site mentioned above.
Numerical models in climatology and hydrology
- In 2008, I taught a class of "Mathematical Geography"
for undergraduate students of geography
at Tokyo Metropolitan University.
Its course materials (in Japanese) are
here.
Earth observations, in particular,
"handling of data about the atmosphere and the hydrosphere"
- From 2001 to 2006, I taught a class of
"Earth Observations" at Shonan Fujisawa Campus of Keio University.
Its course materials (in Japanese) are
here.
Since 2007, I put minimal revisions to the pages, but not full revisions.
Data processing with computers
- An awkward awker
(some know-how in processing numerical data by the programming language Awk,
English version)
Introduction and comments on books (Moved to my personal site)
Scientific memoranda
