How the Information Exchange Works
There is variability in access to online services in Southeast
Asia as elsewhere. Though most official organisations have access at
the very least to e-mail, their field assistants or teams may not.
Organisations in developed nations that work with us often have this
problem as well. To enhance the usefulness and accessibility of direct
development information, then, this network operates in two ways. One
is as a traditional network of direct contacts between individuals and
between organisations. We seek out such contacts, introduce them to
appropriate other contacts, and enhance their presentation and
exchanges of information through multimedia technology. The Project's
other operation is as an online network that provides this information
and contacts at little or no expense of time or funds to those who
have Internet access.
