The project has provided the following since early 1996:
1. A multilingual online network with over 25 online affiliates providing information from NGOs in Thailand and Japan 2. A multilingual, continuing database on gender in Asian modernisation 3. Equipment and technical support for new information technology to NGOs and government agencies in Japan and Thailand 4. Research papers on women, AIDS, micro-credit, international human trafficking, and related issues for presentation at the 1996 UNESCO seminar and for publication in the US and Japan 5. Located an Internet access provider in Thailand to give free access to NGOs 6. Videos and multimedia presentations on the project's collaboration with Thai affiliates (produced for the Nippon Telephone and Telegraph Open Lab, for local organisations, and for donors to the Thai affiliates) 7. Locating corporate private sponsors for NGOs in northern Thailand 8. Training researcher-volunteers and sending them to participate in technical support and field work at Thai NGOs; 9. 11 on-site visits to Thai organisations, rural development areas and women's village groups to gather their information and place it on the network (visits by project leaders for up to 3 weeks; by researcher-volunteers for up to 2 months) 10. Consultant work for Japanese and Thai NGOs
