The Women's Health Advocacy Network (WHAN) is comprised of social scientists, health scientists, representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations and women's organizations who are interested in issues related to Thai women's health. Initiated in July 1995 by the Center for Health Policy Studies, Mahidol University, with funding from the Health System Research Institute, Ministry of Health, the WHAN was created to forge linkages among those members and organizations that want to contribute to a more comprehensive conceptualization of women's health in Thailand.
