“Conflict, Collaboration and Confusion: Reexamining the Relationship between the Bureaucracy and Party Politics in Japan, 1868-1924″　at NYCAS/MAR/AAS 2014(Sep. 20)

　ニューヨーク・ホフストラ大学で開かれたNYCAS（New York Conference Asian Studies)2014に参加してきました。4月に申し込んだ時にはずいぶん先の話だと思っていたのですが、あっという間です。
　私は日本研究のセッションで”Conflict, Collaboration and Confusion Reexamining the Relationship between the Bureaucracy and Party Politics in Japan, 1868-1924″と題して、現代の状況と交差させながら報告させていただきました。
　事前に多くの方からNYCASはいいカンファレンスだと伺っていましたが、本当にたくさんの方の前でたくさんの質疑ができ、大満足でした。同じセッションの報告も、嘉納治五郎、東京オリンピック（1940～2020）、占領期日本といずれも面白いものでした。
　ニューヨークといえば、ラーメン。ココナッツパウダーたっぷりのおいしいラーメンでした。ごちそうさま。
