#1-1-2 Reduce resolution of photos for publication and fast response

The number of photos imported at a time into PhotoWalker depends on resolution of the photos and the available memory of your machine.
Considering the size (320x240 pixels) used in PhotoWalker and publication in the Internet, you had better reduce resolution of photos to 320x240 pixels in advance.

Tips for you
Most of current digital cameras give several million of resolution. To use photos for PhotoWalker, however, it is advisable to set resolution of 76,800 pixels.

The digital camera introduces irreversible compression for its Exif (JPEG) format. With this technique, the photo quality deteriorates every time you change its resolution. If you want to scale down a photo size, do not repeat scaling, and decide the final size by just a single operation. The recommended size is the one divisible by an integral multiple.

As you scale down a photo size, do not remove its original photo.

When a portrait-style photo is lying down, rotate it in advance as it is a JPEG compressed file, so as to set it to be a portrait by using the software that introduces the lossless compression.
In PhotoWalker, the photo quality may deteriorate every time you rotate photos.
