歴史教育だとか。
ヨーロッパからの留学生が多い大学なので、あまりアジアンは見かけない(きちんとしたこっちの大学の統計は見ていないけど、アメリカの大学よりも少なそう)。でも、そのアジアンの中でも多いのが中国からの留学生。
よく日本のことを知っている人が多くて驚く。ドラえもん、犬夜叉というアニメから、原宿、新宿、歌舞伎町という地名まで。アニメを見て、地名や文化を覚えてしまうらしい。
反日教育を問題視する論調が最近よく目立つ。向こうがやってるなら日本もやろうなんていうおバカな話をする人も多い。でも、どちらにしても今の彼らに単純な反日はありえない、ということを実感。子供のころから日本発のソフトパワーにたくさん触れて、そんな中で絵に書いたような「反日」なんて、成立しがたい。
というか、よく日本の歴史を知らない人ばっかりな気もする。考えたら、こっちも中国史を高校のときにやっているはずなのに、ペラペラしゃべれるわけじゃないし。何度もやったはずの毛沢東が何をしたか、などということまでおぼつかない。
歴史の授業において何を教えるか、教科書に何かが書いてあるか、そんなことはもしかして大して大事じゃないのかも知れない。
