Moreover, BRJ offered them its unique instructive programs, which included organic farming, ethical/moral education, and cultural activities. BRJ as of 1996 conducted various community service programs in home villages of its hosted children.Targetting mainly at women, BRJ initiated vocational training and tribal education on nutrition/health, drug prevention, and environmental protection. BRJ carried out several medical services in these villages with the assistance of a few volunteer doctors in Chiang Mai.
BRJ coordinated several meetings for tribes living in the national
preservation area and governmental officials/policy makers trying to
evacuate tribes from there. For the purpose of resolving their mutual
distrust and protecting tribal land rights, BRJ facilitated the
political negotiation of these groups from the perspective of pursuing
universal human rights.
