Understanding and Living with AIDS Project
To provide training courses to the volunteers in 8 villages
located around Rattananurak Rehabilitation Centre (which belongs to
the Communicable Disease Control Department, Miinistry of Public
Health), Muang District, Lampang, in order to increase their knowledge
on AIDS. Emphasis will be made on how to understand and live with AIDS
patients in their community.
Since the hospitals will not be able to admit all AIDS patients,
the Project Medical Team of Sansai District Hospital, who are
collaborators of the Foundation's Foster Parents Project, will then
visit at their homes those people who have AIDS or are HIV infected
and especially the relatives, fathers, or mothers of the children
under the Foster Parents Project.
