今年の井庭研 最終発表会は、3部構成。
第1部は「基調講演」、第2部は「研究成果発表」、第3部は「卒業発表」です。

まず、第1部「基調講演」では、「プラグマティズムから見たパターン・ランゲージ」ということで、僕（井庭）が、哲学的な観点からパターン・ランゲージを捉えるとどう位置付けられるのかを語ります。

そして、第2部「研究成果発表」では、今学期、井庭研で取り組んできたプロジェクトの成果報告を行います。今年は、パターン・ランゲージのつくり方のパターン（なんと計 364パターン！）や、プロジェクトデザインやジェネレーターのパターンなど、魅力的な成果を発表します。これらのパターン冊子は、参加者限定でお持ち帰りいただけます。

それから、第3部「卒業発表」では、今学期で卒業する4年生たちの発表があります。今年の4年生は、リーダーとして最後までプロジェクトを引っ張り、研究をしています。それらの成果はプロジェクト発表で行うことにして、代わりに、井庭研での数年間の振り返りや思い、後輩へのメッセージなどを発表します。また、4年生のミニ座談会も開催！（誰がいつ発表するのかは、当日のお楽しみ。本人たちも知りません。）

Exploring Creativity, Collaboration, and Pattern Languages

Purpose
Our society is becoming more complex and diverse day by day. Finding a way to design the future with our own hands has become the fundamental problem for us today. To be creative in such a society, we must create our own visions, and design tools and methods to make those visions a reality.

In our lab, we define a “Creative Society” as a society where people create their own goods, tools, concepts, knowledge, mechanisms, and ultimately the future with their own hands. Creation in this society is no longer limited to just companies and organizations, but is entrusted to each and every individual. In such a creative society, pattern languages are key media for supporting creative acts. A Pattern Language is a collection of information called “patterns,” which together works in a language-like structure to scribe out the practical knowledge related to a certain field of knowledge.

The lab aims to seize the sprouts of the creative society, imagine its growth, and nurture it through actual practice. Members of the lab would either work on his/her own project based on their interests in a certain field, or they can work in one of the frontier projects offered by the professor. Examples of projects include investigation of new types of education, putting creative pattern-language workshops to practice, sociological analysis of open collaborations, analysis of the creative process, creation of tools to support creative processes, studying cultural differences with using pattern languages, or the creation of a pattern language in a new field. Of course, any other topic that you are interested in is welcome.

The theme for our lab is Creativity. We are looking for prospective lab members who are willing to commit creatively to the future!


Special Note

We are looking for members who are willing to study together with us in a long perspective. Breakthrough in knowledge and skills can be expected through long-term commitment.

Join us on opportunities to go on overseas trips to attend workshops and academic conferences. This year we will be visiting Taiwan in February, Italy in June, Germany in July, and the US in October.

Class Schedule

Members are required to work on their projects outside of class time.

【目的・内容】
井庭研 Creative Media Studio は、 「創造社会をつくるチェンジ・メイカー」の活動・育成の場 です。 創造社会（Creative Society） とは、「人々が、自分たちで自分たちのモノや仕組みをつくる社会」のこと。そのような創造社会の実現のためには、ガチガチに固まってしまっている現状の制度・慣習にゆらぎを起こし、閉塞的な状況・空気を打ち破ることが不可欠です。

井庭研 Creative Media Studio では、 創造社会の実現のために重要なテーマ や、 先進的な企業との共同研究 など、 実践的な研究プロジェクト に取り組みます。 具体的には、創造・実践活動の秘訣を言語化する「 パターン・ランゲージ 」や、未来ヴィジョンを言語化する「 フューチャー・ランゲージ 」の作成を行い、組織・社会変革の支援と実践に取り組みます。 井庭研流の「創造社会をつくるチェンジ・メイカー」は、トップダウン的に大きく仕組みを変えるような「革命家」「改革屋」ではなく、認識や思考、コミュニケーションのあり方が変わる「 新しいメディア 」をつくり、それを 組織・社会に導入・活用することで変化を引き起こす ことを目指します。

井庭研 Creative Media Studio では、実践的な研究活動のなかで「創造社会をつくるチェンジ・メイカー」としての力を身につけます。最終的には以下の すべて の力を身につけ、実践できる人を育成します。

• どのような分野・テーマでも質の高いパターン・ランゲージを作成することができる。
  
• 組織やコミュニティにパターン・ランゲージを効果的に導入・活用することができる。
  
• パターン・ランゲージをつくる人を支援することができる。
  
• パターン・ランゲージの思想と歴史、そしてこれからの展開について語ることができる。
  
• フューチャー・ランゲージをつくることを支援することができる。
  

以上の力を身につけるために、井庭が主導する実践的なプロジェクトに取り組みます。また、対外的なワークショップ／セミナーでの活動や、国際学会での論文発表なども行います。

「創造社会」や「パターン・ランゲージ」については、書籍 『パターン・ランゲージ: 創造的な未来をつくるための言語』 （井庭 崇 編著, 中埜 博, 江渡 浩一郎, 中西 泰人, 竹中 平蔵, 羽生田 栄一, 慶應義塾大学出版会, 2013） をよく読んでください。井庭研への参加の前提となります。

【履修条件】

井庭研をファースト・プライオリティにおいて活動できること（これは優先順位の話であって、他の活動を妨げるものではありません）。

井庭研でのいろいろな活動に主体的、積極的、かつ、徹底的に取り組む覚悟があること。

エントリー時までに、『パターン・ランゲージ: 創造的な未来をつくるための言語』（井庭 崇 編著, 慶應義塾大学出版会, 2013）を読んでいること。ただし、GIGA生で日本語の読解が難しい場合には、 ilab-entry [at] sfc.keio.ac.jp まで事前に連絡をください。英語文献に変更します。


【その他・留意事項】

井庭研Aでは、担当教員（井庭）と他の学生メンバーと一緒に「プロジェクト」に取り組みます。いわゆる「個人研究」はありません。個人研究を行いたい人は、 2016年度より新しく始まる英語開講の井庭研B（GIGA）に参加してください。

プロジェクトのテーマは、重要度や社会的ニーズなどに応じて担当教員（井庭）が判断して設定します。

【授業スケジュール】

時間割上は木曜4・5限のみが記載されていますが、プロジェクトの研究活動は、水曜3～6限と木曜4～6限に行います。

【評価方法】
プロジェクトへの貢献度、および研究室に関する諸活動から総合的に評価します。

あけましておめでとうございます。

新しい年を迎えた日、2016年の自分を形づくる3つの言葉を考えました。


「Nature」、「World」、「Philosophy」の3つです。



まず、Nature。

より「自然」のなかで「自然」に生きたいと思います。

ここ数年、野菜や果物を育て、昨年はお米づくりにも挑戦しました。
自然と触れ合うとともに、食についても考え始めました。

最近また走り始めたし、今年は久々に山登りも再開したいと思っています。

さらに、外なる自然だけでなく、内なる自然＝身体の声をきちんと聞きながら、
アクティブに動くだけでなく、睡眠や休息も大切にし、よい循環を心がけます。

昨年はちょっと仕事を詰め込み過ぎた感があります。
もう少しうまく調整して、Artificialな日々ではなく、Naturalな日々を生きます。



そして、World。

自分たちの研究が「世界」に出て、少しずつ影響を持ち始めています。
僕のつくった方法が海外で使われていたり、いろいろな方と共鳴を起こし始めています。

今年は視野を世界レベルに持って行って、
自分たちに何ができるのかを考え、発信し、流れをつくっていきたいと思います。

今年は英語での井庭研や、英語でパターン・ランゲージを教える授業にも挑戦します。
自らの英語力も高めたいと思うし、これまで以上にいろいろな視点や考え方に触れたいと思います。

グローバルな「世界」に触れるとともに、自分たちの「世界」も育てていきます。



最後に、Philosophy。

人類がこれまで構築してきた「哲学」の流れを学び直し、
自分たちがやっていることをしっかり位置づけたいと思います。

いま書いている本で、パターン・ランゲージの研究・制作・実践が、
哲学のなかでどのあたりに関係し、一体何をしていることになるのかが、少しずつ見えてきました。

それをさらに探究し、自分たちが今やっていることが、
哲学においてどのような付加価値を生み出せるのかを意識して、がんばっていきます。



これまで数年、新年に「今年は書く」と書いてきましたが、
ようやく「書くことは手段である」という境地に達しました。
今年もしっかり「書く」ことは続けますが、その目的が見えた気がします。


また、新しい領域でのパターン・ランゲージもつくり続けますが、
それらはこの3つの言葉のもとで位置づけられることになると思います。


ということで、

2016年の僕は、「Nature」、「World」、「Philosophy」を軸とした一年にします。

みなさん、今年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。
